At Hidden Sri Lanka, we respect your privacy. This policy explains what information we may receive when you use our website, make a travel enquiry or contact us, how we use it, and the choices you have.
01Who we are
Hidden Sri Lanka is a travel discovery platform focused on destinations, local experiences and journeys across Sri Lanka. Fly Catcher Trails is our trusted local partner and delivers the tours and experiences featured on the site.
02Information you provide
When you make a tour or experience enquiry, the form asks for your full name, email address, country, phone number, age, gender (including a “prefer not to say” option), arrival and departure dates, number of adults and children, preferred type of accommodation, how you heard about us, and an optional message. Our contact form asks for your name, email address, an optional phone number and your message.
If you contact us by email or WhatsApp, we also receive the content of your message and the details needed to reply. Please don’t include sensitive personal information you don’t need to share.
03How the enquiry forms work
Our website does not store or send your form details itself. The tour and experience enquiry form prepares a WhatsApp message containing the details you entered and the tour or experience you selected, and opens WhatsApp. You choose whether to send it. Once sent, the message is handled by WhatsApp (Meta) under its own privacy terms, and we receive it to respond to your enquiry.
The contact form works the same way with email: it opens your own email app with the message ready, and nothing is sent until you send it.
04Information collected when you use the website
Like any website, the servers and networks that deliver our pages may process technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, the time of your request and diagnostic logs, to keep the site working and secure. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address and browser details when the fonts are requested.
05Cookies and analytics
Our own website code does not set cookies, does not save information in your browser, and we do not currently use analytics, advertising or tracking tools. Some articles include embedded content from third parties, such as videos, social media posts or maps. When those load, the third party may set its own cookies or collect information under its privacy policy. If we add analytics or similar tools in future, we will update this policy first.
06How we use information
We use the information you send us to respond to your enquiry, understand your travel plans, coordinate with our travel partner, communicate with you about a requested journey or experience, and meet our legal obligations. Making an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing messages.
07Sharing with our travel partner and service providers
Where needed to respond to or arrange a requested tour or experience, relevant enquiry details may be shared with Fly Catcher Trails. Providers that run our hosting, email and messaging (including WhatsApp) process information as needed to provide those services.
08Security and retention
We take reasonable measures to protect the information we hold from unauthorised access, loss or misuse, but no method of online transmission is completely secure. We keep enquiry information only for as long as we need it to respond to you, arrange your travel and meet legal requirements.
09International services
Some services we rely on, such as WhatsApp, Google Fonts and our hosting providers, may process information outside Sri Lanka.
10Your choices and requests
You can contact us to ask what personal information you have shared with us, to correct it, or to make other requests available to you under applicable law, including Sri Lanka’s Personal Data Protection Act. We may need to verify your request before responding.
11External links and embedded content
Links, videos, maps and other third-party content on our site are covered by the third party’s own privacy policy. Hidden Sri Lanka does not control their data practices.
12Updates to this policy
We may revise this Privacy Policy as the website or our practices change, and we will publish the updated text with its last-updated date.
